Beginners Glazing Course

This course aims to make the the world of glazes more accessible to beginners. Understanding glazes and how they work will give you more control over the outcome of your pots. 

You will learn the main components of a glaze, how to alter it to achieve different textures, colours. Learn different glaze applications/techniques. How firing will affect your glazes. 

By the end of the course you will have a glaze of your own creation that to play and experiment with.

On booking onto the course I will reach out to get some understanding of what type finishes/textures you are interested as this will dictate the materials you start with. 

Who is this for

As this course is aimed at beginners. No previous knowledge of glazing is necessary. You do not need to be an experienced maker to start learning about glazes. For the duration of the course Open Sessions will be be free which you can use to make pots to glaze if you wish. Blanks/test tiles are provided as part of the course if not.
