Weekend Pottery Intensive .  Wheel Throwing & Pottery Skills

Spend a weekend immersed in clay. This course is built around the core processes of working with clay. It will give you solid grounding while leaving room to follow what interests you most. 

Over the two days you'll cover:

• Wheel throwing -  getting centred, pulling walls, and shaping forms
• Turning -refining and finishing thrown pieces
• Handles & attachments - making and joining handles cleanly
• Slip decoration - adding surface interest and colour

The course is structured to let you dig deeper into whichever process grabs you, whether that's spending more time at the wheel, perfecting your handles, or experimenting with slip. Depending on interest, there is room to explore hand-building and basic gas reduction firing in a rapid rocket kiln. 

• Cost €180, includes all materials, firings, tea/coffee and snacks to keep you going. 
• Who it's for Suited to mixed abilities, the course adapts to meet you at your level, whether you're picking up clay for the first time or building on existing skills. 
• Small class size maximum 5 per group. Ensuring enough one on one guidance.

Cancellation with full refund is offered up to one week before course commencement. After this credit is offered or participants can send someone in their place.
